As a means of introductions I am Benjamin Spokony. I am the owner/ operator and the senior DJ of Showcase Sound. My DJ career began while I was a student in Washington D.C. One day I decided to answer a classified in the student paper, which was looking for DJs. Needless to say answering this ad changed my life. It wasn’t long after this that I realized my love for the art of DJing. Besides, what other job can you go to work with the main goal of making people happy. After graduating from college I spent some time in Buffalo, NY where I continued to work as a DJ before moving to my hometown, Rochester where I now bring you Showcase Sound. 

In addition to the experience of our DJs, we are always improving our skills and innovating our shows by attending industry seminars, reading trade magazines such as DJ Times and Mobile Beat, networking with other DJs, networking with other special events professionals, and learning new dances and games.

Showcase Sound is more than just a DJ company; we are a full service entertainment company. Along with our specialty of providing the highest quality DJ entertainment, we also offer lighting/ special effects, karaoke, party planning services, and much more.

Our aim is to provide our clients with the ultimate in entertainment. To do this we pride ourselves on supplying our clients with good, clean-cut music and entertainment in a fun and classy manner. Our equation for entertaining includes providing our clients with a professional well-trained DJ entertainer who will emcee, encourage participation, and generate an electric atmosphere, while providing the client and their guests with their favorite music.

At Showcase Sound we firmly believe that the art of DJing goes far beyond pressing a button on a cd player. For this reason we have developed our own style and our own audience participation routines which are very successful in adding to the success of any event along with making it memorable. From this idea comes our company slogan: “We provide more than the music; we provide the party.”

From a business stand point we pride ourselves on giving personal and friendly service while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
